Daniel and Ala were my great grandparents. Ala lived with my grandmother, Annie Sue, when I was a child and I remember her well.
Except for your mother, I knew all of the other 7 children very well. There were many family reunions as I was growing up and I may well have attended the one in 67ish - I recall one around that time that was held at Helen's house in Rustburg. Could that be the one? Annie Sue had four daughters, Elsie, Eunice, Rachel and Hazel. Rachel was my mother.
I really believe that I met your mother at least once when she was in Richmond for some reason. I remember my mother speaking of her over the years and wondering where she might be.
I would be glad to provided any other info, if I can.
There are still many relatives living in the Rustburg/Lynchburg/Richmond areas.
