Daniel and Ala Carwile were my great grandparents on my mother's side. Their oldest child of 8 was Annie Sue, who is my grandmother. I remember Ala, who lived with Annie Sue when I was a child. All 8 children are deceased. Annie Sue married W. Osborne Carwile (a cousin) and they had four daughters. Elsie, Rachel, Eunice and Hazel. They, too, are all deceased. Rachel was my mother. Of the great aunts and uncles, I knew Helen, Etta and Munford the best. I know that Helen had three children, Lois, Linda (both deceased) and Eugene who still lives in Rustburg. I have lost track of Etta and Munford's children. Eunice lived in Lynchburg and was married to Jack Dudley. They had two children, Shirley (deceased) and Bobby - he still lives in Lynchburg. Elsie and Hazel's children live in Richmond. I have two brothers who live in Richmond. This is a long shot, but was your father named Willy? If he was a WWII decorated veteran, I remember him well. I know I met his daughter whose name was Star several times when they visited Annie Sue in Richmond. Are you that Star? If so, how does your father fit into the family? I was always so confused because my grandparents were BOTH Carwiles - it was hard to know who was related to who. I would be glad to provided other info if I can. My name is Paula Dolan Janik.
