I am a descendant of Cornelius Carver through his son John Seth Carver. According to my information, the wife of Cornelius Carver of Jackson Co, TN was Naomi Ray. I do not show a daughter of Cornelius named Martha. I do know that Cornelius had several brothers. You might explore the possibility that your Elizabeth was married to one of them. I have found that people sometimes named their children after their own siblings.
