Angie, if indeed ELIZABETH was 72 in 1880, that would preclude her being a daughter of CORNELIUS CARVER (b.ca. 1796)(d.ca.1868) and his wife, NAOMI RAY m.ca.1814.

The list of children I have of JOHN CARVER (b.ca, 1778)(d. ca. 1753) and his wife, MARGARET (POLLY) DYCUS, does not include a daughter named ELIZABETH, There is only one daughter, PATSY CARVER (b.ca.1797) who married ALEXANDER WAKEFIELD, listed as a daughter.

Do you know anything about EDWARD "NED" CARVER (b.ca. 1798) who married BETSEY WOOD? Could this ELIZABETH be the widowed BETSEY WOOD CARVER?

Bob - descendant of WILLIAM CARVER (1771-1856), eldest son of THOMAS and CLARA CARVER - parents of JOHN who settled in Jackson Co.
