I am the GGGranddaughter of Abraham Carver and Elizabeth Cline. As you probably know Christian and his sister Mary was the daughter of Sarah Pettijohn. My GGGrandmother was Sarah Jane Carver Brock Brown, the eldest daughter of Abraham and Elizabeth. She had two sisters Clemsy and Clarissa(Clara).
Christian signed Sarah's request for widow's pension from the Civil War. This was signed in 1906. Sarah died in Dec of 1906.
I know that Christian was supposed to have died at Ft. Gates, Tx. Ft. Gates is now Gatesville, Coryell County, Tx.
I haven't been able to find any information on his later life.
I know that he was married to Sara VanGundy , and that she was murdered in Upper Neosho Rapids, Ks. He then married Caroline Wilcox in Dallas Tx and that they had a son Abraham.
I think that Christian then married a third time.
There is a Chriss Carver buried in our family Cemetery in Dallas and I wonder if he is Christian's son.
