Glad to hear your beginning to get interested in genealogy. It's a wonderul past time. Go get yourself a good book on genealogy and read it, cover to cover. It will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about getting started and then some. Talking to your oldest relations help more than you can know. Get all the facts down on paper, and remember to list where you found things and who told you what. It will come back to haunt you if you don't. Also, get a good computer program to put your facts in, like Family Tree Maker. It's a good one and they offer a lot of help via the Internet. Well, good luck and let me know if you run across an Ishmael or Isaac Carver in you digging. Happy Thanksgiving! Cheryl.......
