WILLIAM CARVER, B. abt. 1800, d. Choctaw Co. MS abt. 1852-54, first wife unknown, children: Mattie, b. 1832, AL, m. Bill Shewmake, James G. b. 1834, AL, age 16 1850 census Choctaw Co. MS, George W. b. 1837, AL, age 13, William M. b. 1839, MS age 11, m. Lucy Ann Calloway,Laura b. 1842 MS, age 8. This William Carver is listed in the 1850 Census Choctaw Co. MS. along with his second wife, Mary Agnes Shumake, age 26, b. Tenn., and Jesse A. Carver, age 2, b. MS. Who was the first wife of this William Carver and any descendant of the first wife. This William Carver may have been in Pickens Co. AL, but was in Choctaw Co. MS in the 1830's. He evidently married Mary Agnes Shumake about 1847. Does anyone know where this William Carver is buried, Choctaw Co. ? Would like to correspond with any descendants. Charlotte G. Boykin.
