Hi: To my knowledge, no one knows where William Carver is buried. I would suspect Choctaw Co. I notice in my notes that William Martin Carver nameed one of his daughters Mertie (I have Cordelia) I wonder if this should be Cornelia instead. Also, I wonder if she could be named for the Cornelia Carver that married the William Shewmake and that that Cornelia might be a sister of William Carver who died between 1852 and 1854? What do you think? I haven't worked on the Carvers for some time but I have two books on Person Co. NC, one on marriages and one on land records. I understand that other people who have been researching out William Carver, they feel that his father may be a Robert Carver and a wife named Prudence. In this book of marriage records that I have, there is a Robert Carver who marries a Prudence Hamlen (bondsman were George Hall and Jessie Dickins) on Feb. 16, 1796. In this same book, there is a William Carver who marries a Elizabeth Fuller on Aug. 1, 1819, (bondsman were Joseph Gill and Jesse Dickins). There i
