Hi, They are my grgrgr grandparents and she was either half or full Cherokee. Her father was Caleb Duncan and the mother was Mary Elizabeth Hudson. I found her and her brother on the Dawes roll of the Cherokee. Caleb Duncan is also on Cherokee lists. What people don't realize is that many whites married the Cherokee women. That is where we get our Cherokee Heritage. That is all I know about them and the fact the Mary Duncan got married in 1799.
