I received an E-mail from the widow of Sam Carver of Yazoo, MS. Your were right because this is what she says: Samuel Carver is definitely a descendant of Wm. Carver Sr. of Person Co., N.C. I don't think there's any doubt about it. I believe Samuel is William Sr.'s grandson and the son of Robert Carver who went to Pickens Co., AL. Samuel came on to MS around l840-l850. She also mentioned a book "The Carver Source Book, Vol II that has information on my Samuel. Want to thank you so very much for taking such big interest in helping me to locate information on my Carvers, it is really appreicated. Martha
