I too am trying to find some information. My grandfather's name was Samuel Douglas Carver. He was born (I think) about 1909 and died (I think) in 1976 in Florida. He married my grandmother Margie (Laster) and my father was born in Grenada, Mississipi. I have no idea who my grandfather's parents are, and no one seems to know. Because of the Grenada connection, I wonder if they may be related to your William Samuel Carver???
