Hello All! I'm very new at this, but here goes: I'm working on the paternal side of my family. As far as I know, the Carver line I belong to comes from Richard Carver (b. around 1764) in Va. His wife is unknown to me. Descendants of Richard Carver: Martin Carver (b. 1805?) Willis Carver (b. 1807) (my grgr grandfather) Abe Carver Asa Carver John Carver William Carver Willis married Harriet Clanahan (or McClanahan) (b. 1820 d. 1891) and had the following children: Milton Carver (b. 1848 in SC; d. 1923 in Oklahoma)(my gr grandfather) Rhoda Carver (b. 1853 d. 1916) Warren Carver (b. 1857) Marshal Carver (b. 1860 d. 1925) Allison Carver (b. 1842 d. 1863 in Civil War) Eliza Carver (b. 1842 d. 1912) Andrew Carver (b. 1846) John Carver (b. 1846 d. 1903) My gr grandpa Milton Carver married Susie Marian Elizabeth Wisener from Columbia, Tennessee (b. 1860 d. 1908 in Oklahoma) Their children: Arthur Carver (my grandfather) (b. 1889, d. 1982 in California) Milton Ernest Carver (b. 1892 in Sumter County, Tennessee; disappeared later in life in Oklahoma) Susie Pearl Carver (b. 1895, d. 1979) Ora Carver (b. 1903, d. 1991 in Oklahoma) Gladice Carver (b. 1900, d. 1900) Dallas Alexander Carver (b. 1878, d. 1928) Wilburn Eugenia Carver (b. 1881, d. 1967) James Henry Carver (b. 1882, d. 1967) Lena Ann Carver (b. 1887, d. 1974) Virgil Carver (b. 1885, d. 1972) My Grandpa Arthur Carver married Clara Rebecca Clark (b. 1898 in Texas, d. 1975 California) and had the following children: Thelma Carver (b. 1916, d. 1999) Naomi Bellie Carver (b. 1917, d. 1996) Mildred Joyce Carver (b. 1921) Chester Howard Carver (b. 1924 in Carver City, Oklahoma---MY DAD) Willa Dean Carver (b. 1927) Benny Joe Carver (b. 1934) Ronnie Gean Carver (b. 1939) My Dad married my mom, Melba Joyce Wright (b. 1930 in Brinkman, Oklahoma), in Wellington, Texas, on July 1, 1947. My family lineage is through: Richard Carver Willis Carver Milton Carver Arthur Carver Chester Carver I do not have Family Tree information about Willis' siblings, unfortunately. Anyone interested in sharing notes? My family originated in Virginia...moved to SC (Pickens District mainly, but also could be relatives in Greenville and Spartanburg districts). Some may have moved on to NE Georgia later on. My lineage moved on to Robertson County, Tennessee...White House area to be precise, after the Civil War. Around the turn of the 1900s, they moved to SW Oklahoma..to Greer County. I would like very much to share information with anyone that may be interested! Howard Carver
