There are many books about Bacon's Rebellion. If you go to your library, you should be able to check some out through the inter-library loan system. Your librarian can help you. The book "1676" is very good, but there are others. Richard was captured and tortured by the Turks which prevented his returning home before his father's death. No further information is given. I have a record of two ships that he owned but I would have to look them up. I believe I checked for more information at the Maritime Museum but didn't find anything.
