I know this is late but I just did not have time to post it here.
John Raymond Carvalho, 52, passed away after a life long battle with diabetes on January 19, 2007. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 25, 1954, to Carlos Godfrey Carvalho and Carita Hart, (both deceased). He married Leslie Louise Wisner in the Laie, Hawaii LDS temple in 1984.

An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, John served a mission in Harriburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in History and Government. John worked as a Customer Service Representative for Marriott. Amateur radio broadcasting was one of John’s passions.

John is survived by his wife, Leslie, children Kimothee Louise Carvalho, South Salt Lake; Jared (Alison) Carvalho, Midvale; Nathan Carvalho, Quincy, IL and Kimberlee Carvalho of Daytona, Fl. He is also survived by his brothers Roger Carvalho of Hawaii, Eugene Carvalho of Texas and new granddaughter Hayley Carvalho of Midvale. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2007 at the Lee Ward, 3805 South Main Street, South Salt Lake, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to services where friends and family may call. Arrangements by SereniCare, Funeral Directors.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind of Rochester, Michigan thru the local Lions Club, as it was John’s favorite charity.
