My dad's mother's parents were Joao Carvalho de Melo b. 1833 San Antonio in Sao Miguel m. Maria Guilhermina Bettencourto b. 1849 Capellas, Sao Miguel. Joao had brothers: Antonio & Joaquin, sisters: Felicissima & Henriquetta. Don't have info on them. Joao & Maria immigrated to Hawaii in 1882 with their 6 Marias. I'm granddau of 2nd Maria (Jose).
