NC Caruthers by Thomas Carothers of 522 Walter Carruthers (b.Before 1753-d.After 1837) who married Jane McCoy was born and died in Cecil County, Maryland. His father was Francis Sr. Jane McCoy Carruthers's brother Ezekiel Beatty McCoy did move to Mecklenburg Co., NC. So did her sister Martha McCoy Sample. I was trying to determine who Martha's husband was. (I can't find a widow Sample in the 1790 Census either--bad clue from someone.) I have no clue who your Walter Carruth was.
