Not sure whom you want here, Carothers, Sample's or Alexander's.
The Alexander line is that of Joseph & Abigal McKnitt Alexander.
The Sample line is William & Esther Garrison Sample line.
Carothers- Mr. Carothers is John Carothers b.1755 Cumberland Co,Pa, married Esther Sample ca 1787 NC.
John's parents are John b.1725 - 1783 Pa, & Sarah Neely b.1727 - 1798 Mecklinburg Co,NC.
John 1755's 1st cousin Robert Carruthers of Augusta Va., was married to Ann Alexander whom is of the Archabald & Elizabeth McKay Alexander line.
John & Esther Sample Carothers had eight children, Esther is John's 2nd wife, two sons by his 1st marriage to Mary Vance sons John & David.
Children by 2nd marriage. Martha 1778-1779,James Sample 1790-1854,Mary Vance 1792-1821,Elizabeth 1796-1831,Ezekiel 1797-1871,Jeminia S. 1799-1874, Esther 1802-1885, and William 1806-1840.
