1. Congratulations on finding your grandfather's B rcd. Sounds like my research was of some help. 2. For the two brothers, Philip and Patrick, and the possible sister's B rcds, these would likely have been born in the same parish as Owen. They should also have the same parent's names. 3. For marriages, males usually married at age 25 +/- 4 yrs, women at age 21 +/- 4 yrs. Marriages usually occurred in the bride's parish. The groom usually was from the same county, and sometimes the same parish. 4. In general, the married couple OFTEN remained in the groom's county and parish. Look to find the case where the potential offspring are all born in the same county and parish with the same father's forename. Since you appear to have their offspring's birth dates, this should narrow the possibilities considerably. 5. Not all rcds survived. Thus, the son named Owen B in 1865, Co. Kilkenny is likely not yours. By using these rules and the search features of the database, you shouldn't waste too many Euros. Guessing gets expensive quickly. Thank you for a most informative response. Good luck in your future searches. Notify Administrator about this message?
