My name is Bobby Lockard Cartwright. My father was Lockard Blackstone Cartwright. His father was Alvin Blackstone Cartwright and grandfather was Bennet Gillespie Cartwright (b. 1842). I think this branch of Cartwrights originated in Kentucky. They settled in Little River County, Arkansas.
Bennet's (wife; Elizabeth Isabel Trammell) children were: Johnny Bee (b. 1869), Josephine(b. 1871), Elizabeth Cordelia(b. 1873), Beulah May(b. 1875), Lucy Ella(b. 1876), Finis Jefferson(. 1878), Thomas Edgar(b.1880), Alvin Blackstone(b.1882), Walter Cleveland(b. 1885). Alvin Blackstone's (wife: Dorothy Ellie Scott) children were; Lockard Blackstone (b.1903), Bessie Ola (b.1904-d.1905) Cecil Jefferson (b. 1906). (Second wife Ellen Chism)children:Pauline, Norma, Lincoln, Alvin B. Jr., Ozie, Lois, Titus. Lockard Blackstone (wife: Dona Beulah Allen) children Donald John, Bobby Lockard.
