Captain Cartmill's Company of Militia

It is said that my 5-g-grandfather, John Bowen, was a member of Captain Cartmill's Company of Militia consisting of men on the north side of the James River and the Great Road leading to Philadelphia and on Purgatgory Mountain". At the time of the Revolutionary War, the area described would have been in Botetourt County, VA. Is there a list of Captain Carmill's Company of Militia available?
