Hi there I am trying to trace any relatives of my dad ROBERT (BOB ) CARTMELL. He was born in 1889 at Star Hills, Marton, Blackpool. He died in 1955 when I was 7yrs old. I would dearly love to find out about him and his life. His dad was Joseph and his dad was George. Robert's mum was Ellen (nee Cardwell). I have been led to believe he was a soldier before ww1. until being discharged injured and it's possible he was a farm labourer in the 1930's- 1940's but am not absolutely sure if this is true or not. I know he had a sister living in the 1940's but don't know who she was or where she lived. Can anyone help with more info.
