I have been trying to locate information on a
William "Gus" Cartmell Born aprox. 1880 and died Dec 15th,1915 in Pawnee County Oklahoma.
I know that he and his mother (Mary Cartmell) came to Oklahome at the end of the 19th Century. Older residents of Pawnee County tell me that she was married to a William Cartmell but he died leaving Mary with William Gus Cartmell. One of the older Residents of Pawnee that I spoke with thought that Mary had family "up north". Any info you have would be greatly appreciated.

William Gus's Death Certificate indicated he was born in Ozark County Missouri but I have not been able to locate any records to verify this.
