Your Solomon was my Thomas Cartmell's brother. Their mother was Sarah ?. Info comes from Cartmell's "Shenandoah Valley Pioneers and Their Descendants," and from "The Cartmell Pioneers." You have a Powell in your name...so does a friend of mine. Are you related to the Powell who was a surgeon in the Confederacy? If so, I will call her and she may get in touch with you.
