these copies of the Cartmell Family Quarterly I bought off the e-bay, geneaology section they are spring of 1985, summer/fall of 1984 & summer of 1985. My Cartmel line is some what confussing, In a document called Frank Tull Manuscripts it mentions several time a Mart Cartmell, but as of recent light, researchers say it was in error and it should have been McCarty instead. The recent light referred me to a book called O'Dell. Nathaniel Cartmell marriage to Sarah is documented and the children all listed. While they did have a daughter Mary, who is within the ball park agewise, there is one problem, In Nathaniels will, he names his daughter as Mary wife of Nathaniel Willis. Thre is a nother Mary Cartmell who was a granddaughter of Nathaniel and Dorothy Cartmell b 1660 named in Forothy will dated 20 April 1749 but that Mary married name is Smith, not Froman. So it apprears that I am not related to Cartmell, but McCarthy. I would be glad to share what information there is, in the Frank Tull Manuscript, as there is information on Cartmell, but it does not tie into my line.
Hope this clears up some of the Mud.
Joan Graham Atkinson
