Hi Jo-Anne,
Glad to hear that's the right Anna.I'm just getting into researching this and would love to have any info that you have about her.The tree that I have was given to me by my father , Earl Cartland, before he passed away a couple of years ago.Apparently someone in the family spent a lot of timeupdating an older version that was dated 1936.I'd be happy to send you a copy if you're interested. It shows your Anna as the daughter of Charles Cartland 1778-1839, granddaughter of Pelatiah Cartland 1746-1830, ggranddaughter of Joseph 1721-1807. As far as I can tell, Anna's father ,Charles, would have been my gggrandfather's cousin.Joseph is the one who started the homestead in Lee, NH.The only info I have on Joseph's father, John Cartland,is that he was born in Scotland or Ireland about 1700.I believe it's Scotland since I have recently stumbled on some references to the Cartlands near Lanarkshire. You might find this page interestinghttp://www.gaelic.net/forum/messages/1969.htmlhttp://www.gaelic.net/forum/messages/1969.html .
I do have some photos of the house and cemetery. My parents visited Lee, NH about ten years ago.The town also published a booklet on its history which includes a section on the " Cartlands of Lee".
I'll look forward to hearing from you.Andrea
