Hi Jessica,
At http://genealogie.planete.qc.ca/ , that was my request for help before I found my wife paternal grandmother ancestors. I signed it with my wife name since it was her ancestors.
At that site, if you go under “ Genealogie” and click “22 millions de noms et de familles” and again click on “toutes les 478 bases et + (Gratuit) then scoll down to “Quesnel Marcel” and you will have my genealogy and also my wife’s by clicking on “Index des patronymes”.
This site is French and as we are bilingual, it was a site where I sent “S.O.S.” at the members of this site to find my info. I also used many of their tools to help me in my search. As I live in Cornwall, ON we don’t have many of the tools necessary.
Her case was difficult since we had 4 different spelling of the name.( Curti, Cartier, Cartie and Carty)
You are related with my wife Suzette because same ancestor Charles (Dit Laliberte) Carty and here’s how:
Charles (Dit Laliberte) Carty had 3 wifes:
1st wife….Adelaide Saumier dit Lajeunesse married in 1832...son… Olivier Carty Cartie b 1840
2nd wife…Adelaïde Fournier married 1841
3rd wife…Mathilde Lajoie married 1856...son… Anicet (Dit Laliberte) Cartie b 1856

Wife is Celine (Celina) Bonneville and were married in St Anicet in 1873
They had many children and one of them was Zenophile Carty b 1875. I do not have any more info on the children of Oliver. Therefore I do not know who Zenophile married and if he had children.
Anicet (Dit Laliberte) Cartie
1st wife was Elizabeth Caza married in 1883 in St Anicet. They had 2 children
2nd wife was Vitaline Lapierre married in 1888 in St Anicet. They had 11 children. One of them was Alicia Marie Rose Alma Cartie b in 1901. She is my wife grandmother.

Married Roch Adrien Sauve in 1922 and they had 6 children. The oldest child was Lucien Joseph Jean de la Croix Sauvé who married Simone Joncas in 1947. They had 2 daughters Suzette Sauvé (my wife) and Micheline Sauvé.
Suzette Alicia Sauvé and I (Marcel J.M. Quesnel) were married in 1969. We had 3 children. Raymond, Martin and Julie.
Raymond Quesnel is married to Erica King (m. 2001) and they have 3 children. Harley, Annabelle and Hunter
