Hello,
I am not sure if I found a different posting for the same person, but I think I found another posting by your wife from 2007 which makes refernce to the same Charles.

I would say that this is pretty conclusive... she and I are related. we are approximately one generation apart though (as I am 36). I am not sure about the cousin link though, still have to figure that out.
