Hubbard, Evans, Ellis connections in Amelia, Virginia 1700s
Time is short for replies to this, so I hope I may get some.
I am looking for a connection between William Evans and/or John Ellis of Amelia and the Carter family. John Hubbard, the husband of Sarah Stone of Caroline County, makes his will in Amelia in 1745. It is witnessed by William Evins (sic) and John Ellis. Sarah remarries to John Carter in Caroline County. John's brother George Carter is guardian for Hubbard's children. John Carter dies in Caroline in 1750.
There is a Charles Carter in Chesterfield County in 1782 who is married to Catherine (suspected Evans, given that they have a son named Evans). I do not know Charles' relationship to either George or John Carter. Descendants of William Evans were named Ellis Evans.
Is anyone aware of William Evans' or John Ellis' interaction with any Carters?
