I have a list of heads of families in Lowndes Co. 1830 census from Chapter 20 of the History of Thomas Co., GA. It lists a Jesse Carter. Do you know if this might be a son? I am related to the Silas Carter b 1752 in NC and am anxious to find direct ancestors children and there are so many.
