Just saw your message. Well a man from Mourning Bond wife of John Carter give me the info. He had a family record saying John Carter's sister Eliz Carter married Richard Chandler. Richard & Eliz were living in Fluvanna at his death 1781/82. The settlement of his estate payment to Johm Carter. Eliz is in 1782 Fluvanna census. Their children were born in from 1770 down to his death. John Carter the bro was in Rev War but they didn't have enough info to get any thing. And Richard Chandler would have had to also be in it. Why?? If you were not for the war then they would have drove you out! Have you seen were they had to sign a oath? My husband's Hollywood family was taken after war to Canada. They were for King. Thomas Hollywood died in Battle of Camden. Two sons had to go to Canada. They were shipped out by King.People were burning out these Tory's. Well, back to what we were talking about. Thank you for info Deed 1741. John Carter & Joel Chandler. I think we Chandler have the same thing as Carter's Differant wife's . I know these women didn't live long. And the men married again (usely)to younder wife and widows of other men. I don't know how old Eliz was young she had children up to his death 1781. Her children were young. Her 1st Richard Carter Chandler b 1770-d 1850 Kanawha Co WV he married Sarah Eades 1798 Albemarle ,her father was Abraham Eades died 1828 Albemarle . I have all the Will's and court records on these people to prove my family. In Albraham Edaes Will he states that Richard Chandler husband to his dau Sarah in Kanawha Co Va was a man of of incorrect habits LOL Their children were named Albraham Eades Chandler, John A.W. Chandler myGGgrandfather) and one named Thomas T.M. Chandler (I wonder if this is from his mother (Eliz Carter family) Back to Richard Chandler & Eliz Carter their children were Richard Carter 1st, then a John,George and Robert. I don't know the order they were born. But sure one or more named for her family. Chandler's had no Thomas' in family .
Girl's named Nancy married Jesse Kidd (old man)& Lucy was the youngest married John Hope Wood stayed in Fluvanna. I can't find Robert or George. As for John not sure still trying to get them to do DNA ,came to Kanawha Co in 1830, maybe richard's bro. Well see. Our DNA 7a Chandler Asso goes back to Robert Chandler in New Kent St Petter's parish and back to John of Jamestown.I know a Joel came to Herrico early. And I know a Joel married widow of John Easley Jr Joyce Allen dau of Wm Allen died 1752 Albemarle Co. A Joel Chandler lived at Deep Ck.I think he is Joel Jr. And a John Chandler in King Wm Parish 1744 Died 1746/7 with out Will. With this John was a Joseph Chandler in parish I think he is the one that goes to Lunenburg with John Peter Bilbo. This John & Joseph one should be father to my Richard . Why ,John was godfather to Samuel Weaver & Francis LaOrange son. Then Richard & Eliz are next door at his death to Benjinam Wever son to Samuel Wever & Francis! Sorry to write so much, but as you see I have done my work. Linda
