Bennett Joseph Carter married Sallie Abigail (Abbye) Smyre in Flint, Smith Co, TX on 1 Oct 1899. They had 3 daughters -- Mary, Ruth & Henryetta. My grandmother (Mama Mart) was Ruth. She died 25 Feb 1996 in Mineola, TX.
The House where they lived in Edgewood, TX received a Historical site dedication the summer of 2011. My mother Janet Esten Martin (daughter of Ruth Carter) was a speaker at this dedication.
I am seeking more info on Ruth's sisters.
