I am intrigued by the name Pinson Carter. It seems like an unusual name to pull out of thin air. I am wondering if there is a connection to the James Pinson married to Edny Carter. Edny Carter-Pinson was the sister of my ancestor, Holly Carter. Holly and Edny were daughters of John Carter & Mary "Polly" Stevens.

1850 Federal Census
Madison County, Georgia
174 174

Pinson, James 48 (1802)
Pinson, Edny 46 (1804)
Pinson, Mary 19 (1831)
Pinson, William 14 (1836)
Pinson, Robert 12 (1838)
Pinson, Jane 11 (1839)
Pinson, Sarah 9 (1841)
Pinson, Susan 7 (1843)
Pinson, Elizabeth 4 (1846)

Do you have any additional information about Pinson Carter, son of Robert Carter? Thank you.
