Thank you for the info, that does match what I have also since found and with Sarah's death record indicating she was 97, 6m and 29 days that puts her DOB at 1803 and the other record I saw was a different Sarah/Samuel. It has been some time since I posted my inquiry and right now can't find my notes on which child had Sarah Leighton on the death record. This would not be unusual though, I have seen records in my own line where the person gave the wrong name on a death record or perhaps Sarah remarried after Samuel died. I've had computer issues so had had to look for handwritten notes and right now can't put my hands on the reccord which gives Leighton as name of mother.

I was looking at this couple as I am primarily reseaching Huckins connections. Albert M. Carter married a Jones which goes back in my line to Huckins and Sarah's Aunt Mary Cox is in my direct line thru her first husband (Huckins) as well. Samuel and Sarah's daughter Ann m a Dudley whose brother married Abbie York who was a sister to James York who married Annie Huckins who was my grgrandfather's sister. I was looking at the Bridges in the Carter middle name as both my grgrandmother and grgreatgrandmother were Bridges who m Huckins. LOL those families are all intermarried up in Washington county. Thanks again George.
