I found your Lee and Lou Carter on the 1910 and 1920 censuses.Your birth date is out a little for Lee. From these ages he was born around 1886/87 On the 1910 census he was living next to a Buck Carter any relation?

I couldn't find him and his family on 1930 census. Found his son Oakley he was a boarder and occ. miner

You say that Lee had 4 sisters one named pearl was she younger or older than him?. He didn't happen to have siblings called Owen, Stella E, Nancy, Ann P did he? The reason why I am asking this is because these siblings plus Lee are living in Scott County. They are living with their Mother and Stepfather on the 1900 census. Ancestry has their last names as Carter or Sturgill but when I checked the census I couldn't work out where they got the name Carter from, but it's worth a check.
I have copies of the 3 censuses above if you want them.
