I have found information on Edward and Rachel CARTER, when I was searching for my own Carter, (Matilda Jane Carter Brown). Elisha and Solomon Carter were a few of the children of the Edward and Rachel Carter who lived in N.C.,then Washington co., VA., Smyth co., VA., and some of the children on to Tazewell, and possibly Elisha on to West Virginia,mabe even some of the Carters of this family went on to Kentucky.... Need some help putting this together. I have found alot of information on Rachel and Edward Carter.
Edward Carter may have been enslaved at one time,and may be connected to one of the two, "Captain Thomas Carters"
