James Knox Polk Carter b. 3 Oct 1846, m. Eliza Ann Vernon 18 April 1867, Stokes Co., NC. He was s/o James Carter & Sarah F. Roberson. 1870 and 1880 census they lived Beaver Island, Stokes Co., NC and 1900 Madison, Rockingham Co., NC.

Would like more information on their children- Sally Ann Carter b.@1868, James W. Oct 1869; Mary S. @1874; Robert @1879; John T. b. @1886; Ceila b. Mar 1884; Maude b. Dec 1887. Who did they marry ???
James Knox Polk Carter is a descendant of Landon Carter & Mary Goodrich of Stokes Co., NC. Landon served in Rev War Caroline Co., VA.
