(now West Va.) He died 16 July 1835. Sarah died 7 Aug. 1847 and had been a resident of Halifax Co. Va. for 43 years. The final file states that she had resided in Person Co., N.C. and that the two surviving children at the time of her death were Thomas Carter and Sarah Ragland (shouldhave read Martha Ragland).
