Dear Joseph Carter,
Your individuals are pretty well researched will wise, but you have played havoc with the Carter family relationships probably because over a 150 year period of time there are approx. 9 John Carters in the immediate Carter family, approx. 13 William Carters a mere 8 Robert Carters and a mere 7 Thomas Carters and all of this leaves out the possible connections to the Carters of Kempston,Carters who married into the Cupper family of Steventon Shropshire whose William Carter claimed Kinship to my John CDarter died 1630 of London Vintner whose original membership registration I have personally been to GUILD HALL in london to prove.
According to Noel Currer-Briggs we are related to the Carters of Kings Langley (Branch of Pinglesgate and Jefferies).and the Kings Langley Carter (Mills branch) andwe find in these families who live about five miles from Watfordover approx. 150 years another approx. 24 John,Thomas,Robert and William Carters.
So all in all I would advise you to take your good wills and look again.
I of course have lived in Watford Hertfordshire for 4 years and I now have lived for another 33 years11 miles distant and my English wifes family lived in Watford where I was married in the Carter Family church St. Mary's in 1962.We even have some Carter relatives in the Saint Albans Cathedral proven by their coat of arms which you posted word perfect. The Hertfordshire Archive holds a few of the Carter Patents relating to their coat of arms which had to be patented each generation.
I would advise you to use the Carter Coats of Arms descents and land inheritance as well as the localities where certain Carter Branches lived to help in you Carter restructuring. For example Richard Carter of Watford and Kings Langley born circa 1500 died 1558 (Will 6 AR 128) I.P.M had a son John Carter of St. Albans & Watford, born 1529 died 1559 who married in 1549 Agnes Edlyn who died 1562.
Richard Carter of Watford and Kings Langley born circa 1500 died 1558 (Will 6 AR 128) I.P.M also had a brother John Carter of Rickmansworth died 1545 (will;3 AR 51 & 5 AR 113) married to Agnes ?
I hope this helps you get the Carter Family relationships improved in your postings. If you need any help contact me at [email protected]
