Forty dollars paid for 10 acres of land in the County of Greene on the waters of Lick Creek. Beginning on top of a hill near the fence joining David Brown's entry Witness: Benjamin Carter & John Carter Registered the 9th day of December 1818 January 11,1819 Greene County Deeds book 11, page 404 John Carter to William A.Hankins & John E.Hankins, all of Greene County and State of Tennessee. Six hundred & fifty dollars paid for 180 acres of land on the waters of Lick Creek in Greene County. Beginning on a side of a Knob, corner to Christopher Coopers land. Mentions a maple in William Hankins line. Witness: Benjamin Carter, Daniel Casteel & William Brown Registered the 18th of March 1819 Ezekiel Carter to John Carter, book 16,page 58, five acres April 26,1831 Greene County Deeds book 16, page 61 John Carter Jr. to Mashach Carter, both of the County of Greene and State of Tennessee. Three dollars paid for 33 acres of land on the south side of the Dry Fork of Lick Creek joining Casteel's land. Said tract being part of a 66 acre entry made by John Carter Junior, bearing date Jan. 24th 1826. Witness: Isaac Harmon & Peter Harmon Junr. Registered the 23rd of May 1832 June 21,1839 Greene County Deeds book 19, page 28 John Gass Sr. to John Carter Jr. both of the County of Greene and State fo Tennessee. Two hundred and fifty dollars paid for 60 acres of land in Greene County on the head of Babb's branch. Being same tract of land granted by the State of Tennessee to John Gass by Patent No. 6608 and dated the 22nd day of June 1820. Beginning at a white oak on the line of Henry Dycke's fifty acre survey. Mentions a line in Wyly's survey. November 4,1828 Greene County Deeds book 19, page 123 John Carter to Elem Carter, both of the County of Greene and State of Tennessee. That the said John Carter for the good will, love and respect, that he has for his son Elem, assigns a tract of land containing 64 acres, it being two tracts. The first: the remainder of the tract that I now live on which I have not conveyed to my son Ezekiel, and a five acre tract joining the said tract, be the same more or less. Beginning corner of the part that I have conveyed to my son Ezekiel. Mentions a hickory on Jacob Carter's line, being the end of the dividing line between my sons, Elam and Ezekiel. Forty four dollars paid for 57 acres of land in Greene County on the waters of Lick Creek. Mentions a line with Jacob Carter, Reynolds line and John Harmon's line, Three tracts: the first with 25 acres, the second with 17 acres, and the third 15 acres. Witness: James Patterson & James Barnes Registered the 13th day of March 1843 March 11,1843 Greene County Deeds book 21, page 50 John Carter Junr. to Elim Carter, one hundred dollars paid for 57 acres, being same three tracts purchased of Vincent Reynolds registered in book 21 page 49.
