July 26,1815 Greene County Deeds book 10, page 487 Jesse, John & Levy Carter to Caleb and Joseph Carter, 45 acres on Lick Creek for the sum of $50.00 paid to each of Jesse Carter, John Carter & Levy Carter, Quit Claim to them Caleb and Joseph Carter, Our part as Heirs of a tract of land Granted to Levy Carter (Dec'd), which tract of land our part as Legatees after the death of our mother Susannah Carter. Witnessed: David Key and Samuel Keller Registered this 24th day of October 1816 Feburary 11,1818 Greene County Deeds book 11, page 239 Robert Rudder to Jesse Carter, mentions Robert Rudder of Greene County Tennessee and Jesse Carter of Hawkins County Tennessee, the sum of four hundred dollars paid for 100 acres of land on Puncheon Camp Creek in Greene County, being a part of a survey of land which John Casteel Senior had sueveyed and sold to Jacob Gray on Puncheon Camp Creek, the upper of said survey. It being by Patten bearing date September 11,1787. Robert Rudder Witnessed: John Price and Caleb Carter April 25,1825 Greene County Deeds book 19, page 151 Jesse Carter to Abraham Weems, Jesse Carter of Greene County and State of Tennessee, south of the river Ohio, Four hundred dollars paid for 100 acres, being same tract Jesse Carter purchased of a survey of land which John Casteel Senr. had surveyed and sold to Jacob Gray on Puncheon Camp Creek.
