September 20,1787 Greene County Deeds book 3, page 474
State of North Carolina to Caleb Carter - 500 acres of land on Lick Creek in Greene Co. Including his improvement, Ten Pounds for every hundred acres, Beginning at a stake above a large limestone spring, A conditional line between Caleb Carter and John Denton, A conditional line between said Carter and James Goodin. By his Excellency- Richard Caswell J.Glaugen - Secretary. Recorded in the Registers office in Greene County the 30th day of October 1794.

March 27, 1815 Greene County Deeds book 1b, page 375
State of Tennessee to Caleb Carter, No.6348. An entry made in the surveyors office of the Sixth District of No. 257, issued by Edward Scott to George Gooden for 500 acres, twenty acres of which are assigned to Caleb Carter the Enteror. Lying in the County of Greene on the waters of Lick Creek. A corner of John Pogues survey, then to a bank of Lick Creek, to said Carters old survey, to a line of John Pogues survey. The Great Seal of the said State to be affixed at Murfeesborough, on the 16th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen and of American Independence the Forty Fourth. By the Govener ??? McMinn, Daniel Graham, Secretary. Registered this 15th day of Jan.1824, George Brown R.G.C.

Levi Carter to Caleb Carter, 24 acres on the North side of Lick Creek for $70.00. Being a part of a 175 acre patent granted to said Levi Carter. Witness: William Jones and Elijah Carter.

Jesse, John and Levy Carter to Caleb and Joseph Carter, 45 acres on Lick Creek for the sum of $50.00 paid to each of Jesse Carter, John Carter, and Levy Carter. Quit Claim to them Caleb Carter and Joseph Carter. Our parts as heirs of a tract of land granted to Levy Carter (dec'd). Which tract of land our part as Legatees after the death of our mother Susannah Carter. Witnessed: David Key and Samuel Keller

April 16,1819 Greene County Deeds book 12, page 18
Caleb Carter to George Weems, $30.00 paid for 6 acres on the waters of Lick Creek, Caleb purchased of Levy, then south the same line to Puncheon Camp Creek, A small part that of all to me by Heirship. Being a part of a tract granted to Levy Carter by the State of North Carolina. Witnessed: Thomas Williams and John Kenny.

October 19,1825 Greene County Deeds book 14, page 298
Caleb Carter of Monroe Co. to George Weems of Greene County $900.00 for 80 acres. All the land I purchased of Levy Carter granted to him by the State of North Carolina, also all the land I purchased from the Heirs of Levy Carter and my own part of said land as an Heir of said Carter. Witnessed: Jesse W.Haile and William Jones.
