DUDLEY — Funeral services for Mr. Walker A. Carswell, "Buddy," 64, will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Byrd Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ellis Carswell will be officiating. He was born in Laurens County to the parentage of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifton and Clara Carswell. He attended Millville High School. In 1965 he moved to Washington, D.C. While residing there he worked for Cummings Trucking for a number of years and later with Giant Food for 20 years. He returned to Dublin in 1990. Mr. Carswell was an avid automotive technician. He died Thursday. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dolly B. Carswell of Washington, D.C.; three children, Mrs. April D. Williams (Tracy) of Washington, D.C., Mr. Keith S. Carswell (Kim) of Snellville and Ms. Wanda K. Carswell of Lithonia; six grandchildren, Marcia Nealy, Arthur Tyree Carswell, Roneice Carswell all from Washington, D.C., Brandon Sharpe, Keith Carswell Jr. and Keiwan Carswell all from Snellville; siblings, Mrs. Ora Lee Hunter and Mr. Nathaniel Carswell (Hattie Pearl) all from Dudley, Mrs. Clara Richmond (Stephen) of Temple Hills, Maryland and Mr. Clifton Carswell Jr. (Ann) Macon; four sisters-in-law, **********Mrs. Doretha Carswell************ of Montrose, Ms. Grace Haynes of Dublin, Mrs. Geartha Jones of Miami, Fla. and Mrs. Gussie Swayne of Macon; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at the family residence, 1487 Willis Jackson Road, Dudley, and at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. Dudley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

This is all I could find. There are too many Dorethas last name unknown in Georgia in the 1930 US Census. Would suggest you send for a copy of her social security application for more information about her parents.
