This info came from the Vicarage at Stedesand, April 23, 1847. Also have a certification of smallpox vaccination from Tondern, Sept 21, 1825 and his passport issued in Holstein 1854. He had a son John August who was born March 22, 1850. Carsten died at sea on his way to New Oleans and Iowa in 1854.
