Hi Doug,

I've been researching PA Carsons for awhile. The Robert Carson born 1762 Cumberland PA who married Margaret and died in OH was listed as serving in the Rev War as a substitute for his father David Carson per I report I received from the Cumberland County Historical Society researcher.

There was a Robert - Margaret in 1780 Rowan NC selling land. A Robert - Margaret is in Camden District (Chester Co later) SC in 1774. A Robert - Margaret are in Jefferson TN 1806 selling a lot. A Robert - Margaret from that are of TN moved to OH before 1814, when they were referenced as heirs of William Carson Jr. and his widow, Ruth Carson Patterson.

The Robert Carson who married Margaret Woods 1755 in Lancaster PA is most likely the one in Orange NC 1766 and possibly the in Guilford NC 1779 (he is next to some Woods inlaws).

I'd like to unravel this line and connecting lines somehow.

Gary
