Hi,
I checked with my mom and her info states that Henry Carson was born in Ohio on May 10, 1820. Not sure of the city. He married Mary Hiatt. They had a daughter Malinda (I misspelled Melinda the first time), who was born near Blythedale, Missouri, on June 16, 1860. She married Samuel P. Jones. I wish I had more info, but it's pretty scant on that side of the family. My grandfather has always claimed that we are direct descendants of Kit Carson-I'm beginning to wonder if it's more likely one of his brothers or cousins (but from the little info I have, very difficult to prove).
