We are searching for the burial of Talitha Carroll Roberts. Talitha married George Washington Roberts before 1877 since this was the time the first child, Anne Born 1877 North Carolina. She shows up on the Orange County, North Carolina Census but after that no where can she be found. Also searching for Thomas J. Webb and Katie M. Roberts Webb (Daughter of Talitha Carroll and George Washington Roberts. If you have any information please let us know.
First we know Katie was listed in 1910 Marion County, Tennessee Census with her husband, Thomas J. Webb. According to the census Thomas J was 47 years and Katie was 25. The children listed in this census were Lillian M. Webb age 4 and Clement Webb age 2. It states that these children were two out of 5 births. We know Katie died in 1920 as we have her death certificate and we read somewhere that Thomas J. Webb died a few years later. The children were Clemmie, Ralph and Kinsey, Lillian. We found that Oscar A. Bowers and his wife Mary adopted Kinsey C. Webb along with Leon Kemp and Calvin Harris. We know that George Washington Roberts left money in his will that was probated in March 1930 to his grandaughter Clemmie Webb. Lillian M. Webb we have not found and Ralph we believe was taken in by the Torbett family but none of this has been confirmed. We are looking for any relatives of this family. After 1940, no other child has been confirmed as to whom they lived with after their parents died except one Kinsey Clarence Webb married his cousin Hattie G. Bowers. We know the last known census was 1920 in Hamilton County, Tennessee on possum road and two doors down was Maude and William Parker (Maude was the sister to Katie Roberts Webb) but they never had any children in their home. I hope someone can help.
