I purchased in Jacksonville, OR the subject undated snapshot that once belonged to Robert Sanford Dawkins (1877-1961) of West Virginia. The photo, printed as a RPPC (Real Photo Postcard) (not postally used), depicts a teenage boy and a teenage girl and is identified on the back:

"Lena Taylor & Bernard
'Peny' Carroll"

George Bernard Carroll, born 6 Feb 1894 in Wood Co., WV, was the son of George Ambrose Carroll (1852-1930) and Sarah A. Carney/Kerney (1852-). He is listed in the 1900 and 1910 Census data for Tygart (resided at 736 3rd Street), Wood Co., WV; the 1920 Census data for Parkersburg (resided at 2383 Oak Street), Wood Co., WV; the 1930 Census data for Parkersburg (resided at 2303 Oak Street), Wood Co., WV; and the 1940 Census data for Baytown (resided at 122 Ohio Street), Harris Co., TX. He was employed as a chemist for Standard Oil Co. He married Margaret Ann (maiden name unknown), born about 1895 in Parkersburg, WV. George and Margaret had two daughters (both born in Parkersburg, WV): Margaret Catherine Carroll, born about 1927, and Patricia Ann Carroll, born about 1934.
