McClellan Carroll family

Rhoda Carroll was one of the daughters born to McClellan Carroll and Elizabeth Barome. She married a fellow by the name of Henry A. Jandt, a second generation immigrant from Germany. After their marriage in Illinois, they moved to Sioux City, Iowa where H.A. Jandt became a respected and successful businessman.

According to her obituary in the Sioux City Journal, Rhoda was named because she was born in a covered wagon as her family traveled the "road" from TN to Illinois. I think her parents really had a sense of humor!

Rhoda's daughter Eliza married John Deemer Kneedler. Their son was Charles Kneedler, who in turn married Lillian Stackerl. Their daughter Abbie married Hobart Lee Wood who had my father, Charles Lee Wood.

Does anyone know about Elizabeth Barome's parents or McClellan's. He is noted of Indian heritage. Maybe a relation to Barbara and Ralph Carroll?
