I am trying to find further information about our side of the Carroll family, which descends from the uncle of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, Thomas Carroll, who died at the Battle of the Boyne in Ireland leaving two orphaned sons. It has been passed down in our family that one son was adopted br a Quaker family after the death of his father. Whatever happened, when Edward Carroll came to America in 1801 and settled in Ohio, from whom I am descended, they were Quaker, though my mother also thought some were from the Maryland and Virginis area. I have some information from an Irish pedigree book a cousin of my mother's sent me, and am wondering if you have any other isuggrstions--it's xeroxed copies from Heber Geneologies.
I will print out the biography of Charles Carroll, but am wondering whose child was John Carroll? did another Carroll brother immigrate to America at the same time as Charles Carroll pere?
Thank you, Carroll Robinson
