Hello Ralph,

Thanks for your message. I live in Ireland and have been using the Foundation's database for a considerable time..I know the dob of my great grandfather Bernard Carroll born in 1831 in Limerick City - father Daniel...Before that is the problem. I have info on I would say all relevant Daniels born in the relevant time period - 1807 ish - for relevant Counties - Limerick, Tipperary and others. The problem is - how to say that is my Daniel.

DNA testing of my brother with suggests possible connections in the Tipperary/Kilkenny area which will require more research. The problem then becomes talking to/contacting possible connections lsted for example in the telephone book. I have begun that process but it will take more time.
